Speed touch, install drivers

Could you please give me step by step instructions on how to install the driver for the speed touch usb modem under linux-mandrake 8.2.
I am very new to linux so SIMPLE is the name of the game. I am in new Zealand and we have our VCI set to 100

The first thing to do is to go into Mandrake Control Centre, and set up a network connection. It will ask you if you are going to use modem, or ADSL etc. It then asks about which type of ADSL, choose Speedtouch and answer all relevant questions.

See if that works for you, before you start installing additional drivers. All drivers should be on your install CDs.
