Total NOOB. Just downloaded the XFCe 4 final version because it seemed a little less (I read) of a system hog (read: faster) than KDE or Gnome. I have it on a RH9 dual boot w/WinXP.

Anywhoo - has anybody really gotten inside it and how customizable is it? I seem to be having trouble finding apps and files. Remember, I am in the middle of a migration from WinXP so my command line knowledge is limited and I have primarily used KDE and Gnome because of their similarity to Win.

Thanks in advance for any info on this WM.

Log into GNOME and right click on items in the menu... this will tell you the command line way to launch each file ... ie

mozilla --will launch mozilla
nautilus --will launch nautilus
redhat-config-network --will launch your network configuration gui

then write down the ones you want and create these launchers in xfce... obviously, you'll only want to create launchers for those items you'll use on a regular basis... unless you have time to create a ton of app launchers...;)
