im running trustix ... and when i try to install a rpm package using:
rpm -ihv emacs-20.7.-14.i386.rpm
i only get :
"only packages with major numbers <= 3 are supportet in this version of rpm"
how can i install these packages ??

maybe your RPM is too old or too new ?
i think i heard something about a new version of RPM... you might need to upgrade your RPM packages. maybe 4.0?

hmm ...
how do i uppgrade my rpm ??
and i have the same problem with my Red Hat 7.0 box ... (trustix is buildt red hat)
