how do u install rpm in Gnome is it also possible to get the rpm to get the files it missing

YES!! its called Yast2 :)

that only works on kde

yast2 is a program, has nothing to do with kde other than being written in QT, just fire up yast, and point it to the rpm on your hd, if the dependencies are contained in a repository then it will install them

you could always use rpm -ivh <rpm name> in a shell, doesnt matter what your running, kde, gnome etc etc
