I want something I can wear and attach my jump drive to. ThinkGeek doen't have any and I'm not sure where else to look. I put lanyard into Google.com/linux but no luck. I also e-mailed Mandrake to see if they have any giveaways. So, does anyone know where I can find any kind of Linux lanyard?

How much are you willing to spend? Any good silk-screening shop should be able to make up what you want, but there's probably going to be a minimum order.
If you can find plain lanyards in a color that you can live with, it shouldn't be too hard to print your own iron-on transfers, and apply them yourself.
Either way, god luck!

Howdy.
This is where knowing absolutely nothing about Linux pays off... :D
1) Find a WIDE cloth lanyard with those "dogleash" clips on it that hang around your neck. Choose your color.
2) Go to your local sewing center/store/shoppe that sells the newer machines with image scanning. Get real friendly with them. Offer to buy them lunch or dinner. Babysit for them. Something...
3) Ask them to scan in your image (Tux!) and stitch it onto your lanyard - choose the colors carefully, as Tux doesn't look too good on a black background (I'd try ice blue or white). You'd be amazed at how well the new machines can do this sort of thing. Since Tux is only three colors (two if you use a white lanyard), it should be easy for them to do.
4) Thank them profusely, and send all your business to those folks, since everyone will be asking where you got your Tux lanyard, and they'll have the images saved on their machine for the next person.

Excuse me, but I was under the impression that a Lanyard was a rope with a steel hook or eye on the end used for nautical purposes. Or hanging people.
Can you tell me exactly what it is you do? I wouldn't fancy a bungee jump with a lanyard round my neck.

Hehe... a more modern meaning of lanyard is basically a loop of fabric worn around the neck (sometime dangling out of a pocket) with one of those little clip hooks on one end for a key ring or something similar. They also usually have something so that the loop can be tightened.
This (http://www.stohlquist.com/sblanyardlg.html) kind of thing.

Do a search on Google for 'personalised lanyard' rather than 'linux lanyard' and you should be able to find someone to do them - might have problems just buying 1 though. This (http://www.ribbonworks.co.uk/products/printedlanyards.cfm) Scottish ;) ) company will do 20 printed lanyards.
Buy a load and sell them to your friends ;)

Aha! THAT kind of Lanyard. Ah right.
Sticking the word "Lanyard" and "Jump" in the same sentence is bound to overload my brain. Hell, it's usually in low-power mode anyway (i.e. off).
Why not go the whole hog, stick up a flagpole and fly a Linux flag from it? Or REALLY wind people up and stick the BSD mascot on a flag and hoist that up.
Even better! What about Tux drawn out in crop circles? Tux is God?

Gee, and I originally thought you guys are talking about a yard sale where they sell LAN hardware and had no clue while somebody would print anything onto the grass in his/her frontyard... one never stops learning foreign languages. :D

Or foreign foods, I went to the grocery store and they had swiss cheese on sale for $0.99 per pound. I thought what a good deal. But when I saw it I realized why it was on sale, IT WAS FULL OF HOLES! BIG ONES TOO!I thought, "Boy they must have some big worms in Switzerland".

Not all kinds do, you just ran into the most famous one (at a very good price - lower than in the country of origin!).

Now I better shut up before I get hit with the mod whip. :)

See, that one had holes too. The Gruyere cheese didn't have holes though. ( I guess the worms were smaller) And it tasted very good. :)
