Audigy2 +alsa +kernel2.6-test5

I have an audigy2 soundcard in my gentoo box (running the 2.6-test5 kernel). I am aware that the audigy2 is partially supported through the emu10k1-cvs drivers, but I have also heard that with the 2.6 kernel it works out of the box.

I can't get it to work out of the box, and when I try to emerge the emu10k1-cvs files I get a make error. Any help from someone who is running 2.6 and has an audigy2?

I have gentoo and audigy2, with 2.4 kernel and emu10k1-cvs driver. I'm not running 2.6 kernel yet. Sound works but can't get reccording.
