cdrom burned audio issues

I have a LITE-ON ' 'LTR-52246S with the 6S0F firmware, and i can play normal audio cds from the store, but whenever i try to play a cd i burned, it constantly skips on the drive i burned it on! I'm on Debian Sid using kernel 2.6.0-test5-mm4 (problem appears on 2.4/2.6 vanilla).

Does the burn speed of the media matches the speed at which the files were burned?
