Sending messages to users

How can I send messages to users logged into my system?

ah cool that works
but how can i quit write or talk? alt+q doesn't work..

Ctrl C
gets you out of write, and I think its the same for talk.

ctrl-d will also get you out of write. If you want to send a message to all users logged in, use wall
