Nearly every single time I run rpminst, it freezes -- It just friggin sits there...

My question: Is there a way to perform the same action (installing an rpm) in console mode only?? (Running rpminst in a console just starts the X version in the X server is running)

Arrrg!!!

I don't know awhole lot about RPMs but can't you use

"rpm -i filename"

instead of rpninst
also Gnome and KDE come with an gui for installing RPMs

Exactly what I'm having a problem with -- The GUI version. It locks up all the time, a great huge pain in the *** -- But I'll try doing it the other way.
