I'm trying to dig up a good mail client for use under linux and win98, but I need a specific feature.... I need them both to share the same mailbox. I use netscape mail in 98 and like it alot, so I tried mounting my win partition rw and then starting netscape mail under linux. It read the folder names okay but showed each as being blank. I've thought about leaving my mail on the server, but if I'm in linux for 3-4 days its really going to build up. Any suggestions for what I can use?
Thanks as always

Don't know if you're going to have much luck. I may be wrong.. I've never actually worried about it.. My actual question would be whether or not the pst files from outlook would be transferable to a linux mail client?? anyone know that?

This doesn't include .pst files, but it does include the .mbx files from Netscape, Eudora, and Outlook express..

The link looks interesting, but I don't think it will be completely useful until I make the switch to linux for my full time os. :( Ideally they'd share the same mailbox so that mail I d/l in windows can be read by linux and the other way as well. I think its a very difficult request :)

What your looking for cannot be accomplished by only your mail client. What you need is an IMAP mail server that holds your emails on it, that way your clients for both os's are able to access and read the very same e-mails. Good Luck.
PS- If your looking for a good Linux e-mail client, I suggest you take a look at "Evolution".
