I just installed Linux for the first time no more than 2 hours ago (YAH!). I have been a windows junkie for years so I have no idea how to setup the ethernet connection in linux (it's red hat btw). Is there a REALLY basic network how-to online that anyone can point me to so I can set this up? Thanks all...

Which version of Red Hat? What kind of internet connection?

Play around with or maybe do an internet search on the command 'netconfig', the REd Hat offering for setting up network connection sans editing text files.
