Broadcom 1424

I have a broadcom modem from a Dell 2350. It is a win modem but I have the drivers from LINmodems.org.

For some reason when I try to run the RPM for teh modem driver it says it can't make the directory needed. I am loged in as root. Iw as wondewr if any of you had any luck with winmodems on a linux box?

Are you using the correct rpm package for your distro and kernel version?

What is the exact error message and are you logged in as root or just 'su'?
