I was just wondering if there was one for an RPM based distro, specifically mandrak 9.1. I know when i used slack, Dropling Gnome was phenominal, and made it much much better, and i figure it can do the same for this. any suggestions? if not, i may just go back to slack and try to learn how to use tarballs well.

From what I've read, it was made especially for Slackware (since Slackware was sooooo ugly :D ) and if Googling doesn't bring up something, I doubt if they would want to port it to other "prettier" distros.

i see, i should google it, and will.
yeah, slack was kinda rough without it, but with Dropline.. wow, it looks good.

Ximian's Red Carpet will do essentially the same thing, but since it's not tied to a specific distro and WM, it's much more flexible.
