okie guys im counting on ya help me out

my room mates system is in bad shape

its a pure scsi systemm (as far as his hard drive's and cdrom)

the card he is running is a ppro200 with 96mb ram
"AHA 2940 UW scsi host adaptor"
ibm 2.47 gb w c: drive
quantium fireball 6.6 gb d: drive
vodoo 3500 vid pci
3com 10mps nic
creative 56k flash modem
sb pro sound (isa)
in other word's an obolete antiqitated system
we keep trying to get to fdisk it seems to boot up fine finds the card and so on
boot when we get to the login (the install login) and try fdisk we get a flury of numbers and and errors and more numbers
stuff like cpu .0
eflags <numbers and more numbers kernel panics and then finally total lock up i am at wits end and am at a loss for ideas if anybody.....anbody at all can help...please do for the love of god please HELP!

Hmm, seems to me that the partition table somehow got srewed up. Shouldn't be a problem related to the SCSI card. I ran this card with at least ten distros and never encountered any problems.
Is there anything valuable on the disks that needs to be saved? If not, I'd try to blank the mbr of both disks. dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdX bs=1 count=512 should do the trick. I give absolutely no warranty that this works, though. Don't blame me if it makes thing worse ;)

Mandrake 7.2 will detect and configure it automatically. I'm running it.
