You download the sources, you compile ... That's all ... If you want, I guess you could find a RPM on you distro's website !

i can't find an upgrade @ my distro's site...but where can i find libc6 to download???

Get it at ftp.gnu.org (see the glibc folder),you'll also need localedata and something else (can't remeber at the moment) with conresponding version to glibc.I'm not sure if the newest one requires linuxthreads but might get that just in case.Hope this helps.
