got my new kernel, v4l modules are all here, and everything actually works. But I am haveing a serious performance issue with xawtv. When I open xawtv, I only get video if I select "grab display"f - when I used Mandy, I used to be able to use "overlay" also. But with overlay I only get a black screen. Heres a copy of the output when running and closing xawtv:

bash-2.05b$ xawtv
This is xawtv-3.88, running on Linux/i686 (2.6.0-test4)
WARNING: Your X-Server has no DGA support.
WARNING: couldn't find framebuffer base address, try manual
configuration ("v4l-conf -a <addr>")
Warning: Cannot convert string "-*-ledfixed-medium-r-*--39-*-*-*-c-*-*-*" to type FontStruct
/home/deano/.xawtv:1: syntax error
Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":0.0".
ioctl: VIDIOC_OVERLAY(int=1): Invalid argument
bash-2.05b$

I figure this has something to do with DGA and/or the direct rendering? But I have not seen an option when compiling a kernel for DGA, and as far as Direct rendering management goes, it is already compiled in. I'm pretty clueless here...
