May be i did something wrong, but anyone can help me ? It annoyed me ..

sometimes sndconfig doesn't detect and configure everything. you might wanna with manual install. in that case check the NHF section. there should be guide to help you out.

or open isapnp.conf and select the right dma for your sndcard

hi,
but i saw the very strange problem. When i run sndconfig, i set the configuration, then exit from sndconfig.
I run sndconfig once again, and the configuration i've set have changed so i have to set it again.
Manux, i've tried to edit isapnp.conf manually then i'm very confused and my card have no sound at all.
Anyone.....

install alsa drivers. I had the crappy intel i810 and after a couple of weeks of playing with alsa i got it to work:
www.alsa-project.org (http://www.alsa-project.org)

If yuo are using kernel 2.4 use the latest downloads. If using kernel 2.2.x use those drivers etc from early december.
