I was thinking of networking them.
I can pick up a basic package which has a
5port hub
2 10/100 Mbps PCI Card
Cable
for about $100
Play DuckNukem3D with a friend here, share some file bla bla bla..all that fun stuff

What do Think? spend the money?

if you're just going to share between the two, all you really need is a crossover cable... don't spend the money on a hub.

It's not our two cents...it's your hundred bucks. I think you're paying a little much though. I've seen five port hubs for less than 50 bucks, and cable is like...practically free now-a-days.

But, if you are networking just to play some games...not worth it, in my opinion.

you can get a 10BT hub used for ~$15, a couple of used nic's for ~<$10 each, ask whoever sells you the stuff to throw in a couple of cables
