Printer problem

Whenever I print using the lpr command, my printer only prints out the first line to the file then goes to the next page.

Anybody got suggestions on how to fix this?

I'm running debian so if there is a distro specific solution i'm open.

Can you tell us what it says in your /etc/printcap file? You may need to change or a line in this file. Do a search on "printcap". Also, what kind of printer is it. There's a web site somewhere out there where Linux users explain how they got their printers to work correctly.
