What's a good DVD playback program for linux? XINE is kinda lacking, and Xmovie, heh, no comment. I remember seeing one linked a short while ago, but I can't find it or the name of it. Can anyone post it up again and run the name by me again? Thanx! (preferably one that supports subtitles =P )
Also, I have a few DivX's (divx-3, the hacked M$ codec one) that I'd like to play back in linux. Any good players out there, especially ones that support vobsub subtitles? Thanx!

playback of encryped DVDs under Linux is IMHO very lacking when compared to Windows.
Xine + DeCSS plugin is okayish, but technically illegal
PowerDVD which I think is the best under Windows IS available for Linux apparently, but only to OEM and system integrators.
I think IBM ship some form of DVD playback with their Linux laptops, not sure if it's the Cyberlink PowerDVD or something else.

Do you know where I can get the DeCSS plugin? =)
Also, there wuz 1 other that someone mentioned... supposed to be pretty good, I just can't remember the darn name, ugh.
I will see if I can find the PowerDVD somewhere on the 'net =) I'll let u know what I find.

For dvd's I used to use VideoLAN, at videolan.org, but I've had problems recently. So I switched over to ogle. I can't remember the url, do a search and freshmeat.net and you'll find it.
for everything non-dvd I'd suggest mplayer. It supports almost everything and gives me great playback (I use sdl for my video out). errr, search freshmeat for that one also.
