Here is the problem.
Drake 7.1 installed 233 Mhz, 64Mb trident 9440 pci 1Meg
XFdrake wont run.. just sits there with the blue screen message. It wont even let me switch consoles!!! Alt-Ctrl-F2, etc. It actually hangs the system!! no keyboard control at all!.
The X server does start, mouse moves, even get the blue screen "prefdm" and then X shutsdown.
chekingn /var/log/xdmerror.log it states
QFont::load: Internal Error

When trying to use XF86Setup I get the following error:
Warning SERVER specification missing in Card database entry Trident TGUI9660 (generic) (line 2513)
[ Two other lines come up with similar warnings for TGUI 9680 line 2519 and Cyber 9320 line 2537 ]
Segment violation (core dumped)
