Hello everyone, I hope you can help me out. I'm a total linux newbie & have been using Red Hat 6.2 for a month, mostly Nutscrape & Gnome as root (I know, I know).
Anyways here's the deal, I was running RH on a Sun Ultra 1, everything was good, I just switched to an Ultra 5, & now the display size is huge, like 800 x 600 on a 20" monitor. I've looked around and can't seem to find a place where I can change display settings. I tried reinstalling RH and choosing a different resolution, but that just caused the screen to go blank. So could anyone point me in the right direction? Thank You for your help -John

Go to the console mode, login as root then use XF86Setup (its normally located at /usr/X11/bin ) to setup you screen
