Tyr-7BE 02-25-2001, 08:56 PM Also try a different browser such as Konqueror or even lynx, just to make sure that you really are connected and that the dns is the problem. Prisoner 02-25-2001, 09:36 PM ok now its saying that netscape was unable to locate the server what should i do now Harvey 02-25-2001, 10:16 PM open up a terminal and type lynx www.linuxnewbie.org (http://www.linuxnewbie.org) see if it gets you anywhere. if it does. we know that your connection is cool. make sure that your dns server addy's are correct in /etc/resolv.conf you can do a winipcfg in windows while connected to get information about what your dns addy should be. good luck! Prisoner 02-26-2001, 04:27 PM it said badly formed address. and it said start file could not be found or is not text/html or text/plain exiting please help mangeli 02-26-2001, 04:40 PM Yea, you need to type lynx http://www.linuxnewbie.org What are you using to dial in?
