I`ve installed Mandrake 7.2.
I use KDE desktop.
I tried to add TFF using aplication,
that built in KDE to add TTF from M$
Windows, choosed all the TTF fonts
and click Ok to install them.
Right after that I reboot PC and it
doesn`t launch X-Window saying:
Could not init font path element
unix/:-1, removing from list!

Fatal server error:
could not open default font `fixed`

And when I restart the PC it says:
Shutting down font server: FAILED

Can you give me, please, some routes
to go to find and fix that problem
to get back see X-Window sever alive.

I really appreciate everybody for a
help.

he is saying to uncommeent the "FONTPATH "unix/:-1"
line from your /etc/XF86Config file..

I think thats what he meant- that would be my suggestion

I tried to comment the line out FontPath "unix/:-1"
in /etc/X11/XFree86Config file and still
no joy. The same message gets on the screen
once I key in startx. :(
