I have installed Redhat on a newer computer but after i exited firstboot, everything started to screw up.The first time i signed in,everything was ok except for that icons panels were giant, they took up more than 80 % of the screen, then i set the resolution from 1024x768 to 1280x1204 but nothing changed.I tried again but the next time the graphical interface wont even start.I reinstalled redhat and the same thing happens and i get this message saying that i have not configurated it right but i'm possitive i did.I dont know what is going wrong,i have installed the redhat on a older, crappier comp and it turned out all right.Your help on solving my problem would really be great.

I don't mean to be rude, but you did not tell us much.
How did you set the resolution, did you run redhat-config-x* , what video card do you use, did you check the right refresh rates for your monitor.
Post the /etc/X11/XF86Config as an attachment if you like.

You have tried to se the resolution too high...
The taskbar is completely customisable by right-clicking and selecting size.....
To reconfig your X you need to edit the Xfree86.conf file, if I remember correctly.
And then simply set your max res back to 1024x768
Hope it helps

you can run redhat-config-xfree86 to configure xfree86
do you have anti-aliasing fonts enabled in your DE
What monitor and video card do you have?
do you have the correct horizontal sync range and vertical refresh rate ranges set for your monitor?
