Right now I have a Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 that I'm looking to upgrade. The sound quality in linux is absolute ***. I've tried using various drivers and such to get better linux sound quality, but nothing so far has helped and I need a new card anyways. Are there any good cards that have reasonably good linux support out of the box/very easy to set up? I was thinking about the Audiotrak Prodigy 7.1.

Here's a site that may help, linux audio quality site (http://www.djcj.org/LAU/guide/audio_quality_HOWTO.htm#supported_digi)
I use the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz- it works pretty well.
