Maybe something here (http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/Keyboard-and-Console-HOWTO.html#toc4) will help.

It all depends on what terminal program you use.. Do you use eTerm, konsole, xterm, etc?

Different programs have different ways of doing things.

If you're talking about the actual command line -- before X loads, then there's a way to do that also..

I'm toying around with this but my redhat 7 box does not seem to respond as desribed in the linked article.

I would also like to use a different sizing of the characters on that box. Anyone had any success with this? I'm also unable to find something useful about it.

So yeah. I have found out I have to use consolechars but whatever I do it just displays a help screen.

Can someone help me figure this one out?
