Hello everybody..

excluding the price, which is better:

1- in ease of install and setup?

2- in preformance ?

3- in using less system resources ? (less but no on the expinse of preformance).

before people get annoyed with me, the reason for me trying to get windows to run in a window in linux is coz I need to run "Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 2002" for my university course, wine cant run it, I even tried cross over office but still no use !!

Vmware. It supports all of Micro$ofts OS'es while Win4Lin only supports win98SE to WinME. Then again it depends on you.

I know you can download a trial version of VMware. Can you do the same for win4lin and then test both to see which one suites your needs?

What works for us may not for you and you would be advised to try both and then base your decision on which one works best.

mdwatts is right, but I think that VMWare still has a lot of advantages over Win4Lin. Try both and see.
