IPP

I just found that I have port 631 open on my computer which is the IPP protocol. I guess this is some sort of printing thing...but...I don't think I need it running, do I? And if I don't, how do I go about shutting it off?

How would I go about turning IPP off? I haven't been able to find any information on that. (Ya know - closing up the holes in my system.)

See if it's in /etc/services and if so, then comment it out.

I tried the commenting out, but, supposedly IPP is still running. (I did a full reboot.)

Any other suggestions?
