have mandrake 8.1 installed and got some manuals with other distros (Caldera) can these be install with the Mandrake and if yes HOW..thanks

Um, not in the same partitino as Mandrake. It can be installed on it'w own partition and then you can dual boot between them. Do you have space left for another partition?

well have 40gb and gave partition for linux 12gb and rest for Windblows... so i guess i could but hate to ... but versions have wordperfect 8 and stuff on them... darn.... can you extract that kind of stuff???
