i'm particularly looking for a general book on some common distro (prolly redhat or 'drake, but also slack and debian) that is fairly general: goes through install, and configuring of common stuff: X-windwos/GUI, network connection, firewall, installing common programs like perl or apache, some info on adding/configuring hardware... umm... and whatever (feel free to add something else.
so if anyone can list distro and a book that would go good with it, that'd be pretty neat.
(oh, and i know this is prolly something that gets asked every month or so, so flame away if you want. i tried to be specific :p)
