I can not connect to the internet because my modem is not detected. I am concerned that my modem might be incompatible with the Linux OS. My computer is a Gateway, and I have a BDM V.90 56k modem. Any suggestions?

Yes... a little more descriptive subject (as I've manually edited) just in case it catches the eye of one of the JL members and they could provide a bit of assistance.
