Hello, I figured out today why when I put my xvidtune Modeline in my XF86Config why it didn't make a difference or it didnt "use" those settings. I have XFree86 4.02 and then I went to \etc\X11\XF86Config-4 and under my "monitor" section right under where i specify my hsync and vsync (refresh) I added "Modeline" and then named it "dellmon" for Dell Monitor (you can name it something else). Then under "screen" I added "dellmon" to the "modes". Restarted X and it used the settings! I hope this helps out some people. Some people might already know this some might not, I just know I had a lot of trouble figuring it out, It might be in the man's somewhere I dunno. :D
