Hey guys, have a Microsoft MN-520 with the prism 2 chipset. I had it working under MDK 9.1, but I switched because MDK 9.1 felt so bloated and ran chunky-like. I would like to get my wireless working again in SuSE 8.2, I've heard people talk about it but I cannot figure it out. I forget what I actually had to do with mandrake but it involvd something about hermes.conf and doing a bind "orinico_cs" in some file. But, SuSE Yast2 seems to over-ride all of this stuff. I do not know how to do this. Can anyone provide a walk-thru?

I have the same wireless card and I'm using knoppix/Debian on my system (I installed knoppix to the HD) and I would like to get my wireless card working as well. I've got everything but the wireless card :(

anyway I found this site
http://www.linux-wlan.org/pub/linux-wlan-ng
and they seem to have some cool stuff

but when I read the readme I can't understand it, I'm not a linux guru yet, and I've actually never configued/recompiled my kernel. but anyway if you or anyone who reads this thread could they translate the readme into newbie terms so that I can get started configueing everything!

Thanks
Friegh
