RH8 has no sound with audio CD's

When I put an music CD into the drive the Gnome CD player pops up and starts running but I am not getting any sound. Now if I rip the exact same CD and launch XMMS I can hear it just fine...what gives? :(

Yeah another one of these :rolleyes: but I figured it out. It would appear that the Gnome CD player is strictly analog and since this machine was just a WinXP box until recently it was able to digitally pipe the cd music to the sound card without an analog cable. Plug the cable in and I have tunes now.
