httpd.conf question

On my system I have apache installed; but I can’t find the httpd.conf instead the only file that comes close to that file is httpd2.conf.

q. is the httpd2.conf same as httpd.conf? if not where is the httpd.conf disappear to. It is a brand new installation!!

Is this the latest Apache2 version? They should have something on the main Apache site on the changes between Apache1.# and Apache2.

Usually httpd.conf is in /etc/httpd.
