Orriginally I had a linux system running as a firewall, router and web server for my house. Then the linux system went down and I had to use a linksys gateway to do the internet routing, dhcp serving, and port forwarding. And so the win9x machines could access the internet and the web administration on the router. The I got the linux box back up again and resetup apache. now I can access the internet from both win9x and linux, i can access the linux vnc from an internal win9x, i can access the web server via the external ISP address. however, i cant access the web server using the internal ip of the linux box and only the linux xyxtem can access the router admin interface.
