I have a friend who is looking to cluster a few 486s and a Pentium. The Pentium has 32MB ram which is good for a newer distro without X, but I am looking for a Linux that I may be able to install on the older 486s. They have about 8MB of RAM each, and I am looking for a distro (new or old) that might be installed with that much RAM. Also an X Server for 32MB would be great considering it might be the central system in the cluster.

Any ideas?

I'm not sure of the specific specs for a cluster, but I think that Extreme Linux may work. I don't know of a link, but Google could probably help you out.

Also, try www.google.com/linux using the term "cluster".
