Is it posible to install linux [either mandrake or red hat] from a harddrive?

This would help me, becuase im broke [aint we all!] and I havnt got any blanks.

Could you give me a NHF for this, I have installed mandrake before, and it went with no complications, then I got to actually using mandrake and thats where I got stuck.

This time I have the help from this site, and the NHF's. Hopefully soon enough I can be 100% M$ free. :D

This from the Linuxnewbie FAQ's (http://www.linuxnewbie.org/cgi-bin/faq/faqw.py?req=all#6.11) may also help.
