What are some cool/fun things I can do with Linux, webserver, etc???

What are some of the coolest things that you have done with your linux box? Im looking for some fun things to do while I have some free time.

I have tinkered with the following, just examples.
Ex. webserver, buliten boards, webcam server

List out some of the things you all have done.

Just built what I "Hope" is an aadvanced firewall with snort, squid, & spamassassin so tthat my niece can't see anything offending & to keep people out of my wee little bit of the net :)

On my main box I love to play my nintendo & super nintendo RPG games

The ultimate, for me, is tinkering with programming. Yes, the tools and toys of linux are great, but there is so much information out there about programming with linux, and more software than anyone can cover in a lifetime, that programming has become my new obsession. The downside is that I'm finding myself being a little too literal in my daily life as well. :)
