Does anyone know how I can run .bin-files?
In this case it's so-6_0-beta-bin-linux-en.bin, which is staroffice 6.0 beta of course.
When I try to run it by simply clicking on it with gmc, it asks me with which program I want to run it :(
Anyone an idea?
TIA

You mean you haven't noticed the hundreds of posts on this same question? Check the Software or Technical forum over the last few days or just do a search there.
I can't remember myself, but I know there are plenty of posts with the answer.

First make the file bootable :
chmod +x so-etc
then run it by typing :
./so-etc.bin
Should work just fine.

I was kinda hoping someone might learn to review previous topics or use the search here. The 'how do I install the SO .bin' get's asked 3 or 4 times a week.
