Maximum Linux ( http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/maxlinux/ ) will be a new Linux distro that is not built on one of the exisiting distro's codebase, and will use 2.4.3 (or higher) kernel. Though we will make a distro that can install RPM and DEB files, as well as have its own package manager that will be compatiable with the other package managers as well. KDE 2.1 (or higher) will be the default desktop environment, though GNOME 1.4 (or higher) will be included as an alternative desktop environment. It will also use XFree86 4.0.2 (or higher). We need programmers of all creeds for this project!!!
