I'm using debian potato with Enlightenment. I was using mozilla to surf this site and I clicked on the minimize button and poof! my webbrowser disappeared, but where did it go? Since there isn't a taskbar where does a minimized window go? And how can I restore it?
thanks

If you're using pure enlightenment, there should be an icon box somewhere on your screen. That's where minimized windows go. If there's no icon box, poke around in your enlightenment settings utility (I think it might be e-conf at the terminal) and see if you can get it to appear. If you're new to linux, I suggest using Gnome (http://www.gnome.org/) or KDE (http://www.kde.org/), which are desktop environments similar to Windows. KDE is very much like Win 98, while Gnome is a little bit different. Gnome is a little bit closer to the "GNU linux experience" while KDE is quite good for the transition period from windows to linux. If you're not a linux newbie, disregard everything I've said and feel free to punch me in the face.

Does the third (middle) button on the mouse bring up a pop-up window with a menu for minimized icons? I can't remember, but maybe you could try that.

BTW, in this particular case it sounds to me like you got hit but the Mozilla POOF! bug.
Mozilla has a bad way of vanishing for no apparant reason now and then.
I'm guessing this is what happened since you didn't actually say you minimized the window :)
