I managed to procure SuSE 7.2 from a friend. Upon (trying) to install it, it couldn't partition my drive because the "tool" that it uses was incompatible with my version of Windows (2k). I couldn't even create a new partition via the install. Irritating...
Anyway, I've since ordered SuSE 7.3, and since it touts installation side-by-side with Windows, I thought this would rememdy my problem. However, in their description, they insert this nasty little sentence:

With Windows 95 and 98, SuSE Linux assists you in downsizing your Windows partition with a few mouse clicks during the installation.

Now, does this mean that the install will not be able to partition with Win2k? Help is appreciated.

Not necessarily. In fact, it shouldn't matter WHAT other OS you have on your computer.

I recommend try resizing with Partition Magic for W2K if it exist.
SuSe installer will not help with NTFS partition resizing.
