Hi,
I'm trying to download ethereal from the mandrake website.
here is the URL for the pre-download-website:
http://www.linux-mandrake.com/en/contribs71/ethereal-0.8.0-1mdk.i586.html
However, the download itself appears to be missing:
http://www.linux-mandrake.com/en/RPMS//ethereal-0.8.0-1mdk.i586.rpm
Searches for this RPM elsewhere all end without joy. Is anyone out there using mandrake and ethereal? Or know where I can get it?

Maybe it's on your installation cd(s).
Or search www.google.com/linux for 'ethereal mdk' and find another site to download from.

Some distros do include a version of ethereal on their cd's. I don't however use Mandrake and so I wouldn't know if they would include it.
Being that you and I both found 'mdk' packages, I would suspect some version of ethereal is on one of the Mandrake cd's.

as it IS on the Mandrake cd's.

Well, we'll just have to see about that, even if I have to scratch it off the CD myself ;)
My CD came free off a magazine, I don't know, maybe that affected it, but I'm sure it wasn't on there.

Only a single cd or the entire set? Only one cd would explain it though we didn't know that at the time you originally posted this. :)
If necessary, download from the last link I posted.
