Hi everyone,

I'm having some trouble with my RH7.2 set up and I think I need to run fsck. I was told to do fsck -AR but NOT on a mounted filesystem.

Problem is that I don't know how to run it whilst not on any mounted filesstem?

Could someone please give me a little step by step?

Cheers

Go here (http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/RHL-7.2-Manual/custom-guide/rescuemode.html) and get into rescue mode. If it finds and mounts your partitions, then you can unmount them and run fsck on them. If it doesn't mount your partitions, then just run fsck on them.
