I have just installed Linux for the first time Mandrake 7.2.
I have a wireless internet connection and I am having a lot of problems setting it up.
Apparantly it works as if connecting to a LAN I have all the relevent details like the IP My machine has to be and the subnet mask, gateway, primary dns, secondary dns,.....
I have a login name and password
What I dont have is a F$$@ing clue how to set this up.
I managed a dial up connection with no problems.
Is there anyone willing to take the time out to walk me through the set up i need to do I would like to start learning more about linux but I am finding it difficult to learn anything without my net access as I have to keep switching between windows and linux to find out information of the net.
