(http://www.baber.com/cases/penguin.htm) Enough said. :D paj12 07-27-2003, 12:44 AM Nice! $100 is a bit much for a case though. carrja99 07-27-2003, 12:59 AM Oddly... I am sure i could design a better case than that... The penguin is ugly as hell... Zeraxz 07-27-2003, 03:40 PM aww.. :( broken link *dissapointed* CaptainPinko 07-27-2003, 06:06 PM you're not missing much Gaxus 07-27-2003, 06:41 PM Originally posted by hop-frog All you need is some masking tape and two cans of spray paint. hahahah do_guh_new 07-28-2003, 02:30 PM ah give the guy a break it's not that bad, if it was watts who posted this everyone would be like "oh that's great, wish I had one, it's super duper!!" ;) andycrofts 07-28-2003, 02:43 PM ..in a Bangkok computer store (actually, a mall, full of dozens and dozens of stores!) It wasn't €100, more like €20, if I remember correctly. If I wasn't walking round a place in 40 degrees centigrade, and there was a way to get it in my luggage... mdwatts 07-28-2003, 06:41 PM Originally posted by do_guh_new ah give the guy a break it's not that bad, if it was watts who posted this everyone would be like "oh that's great, wish I had one, it's super duper!!" ;) If you don't have one of those, then you are not a true blue Linux user. Everyone should have at LEAST one of those cases to prove they are in fact a Linux guru. :p One day when I get a digital camera, I'll have to post my own pictures of those cases all over my home. Even my server racks with the same Penguin beaks and feet. do_guh_new 07-28-2003, 08:05 PM If you don't have one of those, then you are not a true blue Linux user. I'm a geek not a dork, thank you. If that's what it takes then I'm switching OSes. :D If you're a nerd and want to show the world you like doing things the hard way you get one of these: Case 1 (http://colorcases.com/cases/trance.htm) Case 2 (http://colorcases.com/cases/RedAlert.htm) Let's see you find matching drives for those. If you're a geek you get one of these cases (http://colorcases.com/cases/XRayBlack.html). Imagine booting up your computer and hearing it say "Hello, Dave.*" Then shutting it down and hearing "What are you doing, Dave?"* Note: This is an obvious reference to 2001: A Space Odyssey. It's even funnier if your name is actually Dave. bosox79 07-28-2003, 09:13 PM Originally posted by bsm2001 Penguin Comp. My god, what's happening to the world?? El_Cu_Guy 07-29-2003, 12:59 AM You could always get a penguin monitor cover. That way you could be a dork/loser...at least until your friends show up :D See them here (http://www.directron.com/penguincover.html) bosox79 07-29-2003, 02:21 AM Originally posted by El_Cu_Guy You could always get a penguin monitor cover. Oscarp 07-29-2003, 04:45 PM i think everyones being a bit too shallow... it's what's on the inside that matters, not the outside :p Zaren 07-29-2003, 09:58 PM Well, I've got this case... here (http://www.xoxide.com/lianlipc6087a.html) with this side panel here (http://www.xoxide.com/liliaqsipa.html) Of course I didn't pay their price... I got the case on ebay for 100 bucks and the side panel from Monarch Computer (http://www.monarchcomputer.com) . Yay side panel fishies!!! As for whats inside... it's just as pretty. *Z makes puppy dog eyes at his computer* mdwatts 07-30-2003, 03:45 PM Originally posted by Zaren with this side panel here (http://www.xoxide.com/liliaqsipa.html) I hope it doesn't spring a leak. bosox79 07-30-2003, 05:49 PM Originally posted by mdwatts I hope it doesn't spring a leak. haha :D DMR 07-30-2003, 06:08 PM Originally posted by El_Cu_Guy It's even funnier if your name is actually Dave.[/I] Yeah, right. Just about as funny as "Dave's not here." Been there, heard that... :p -Dave Zaren 07-31-2003, 07:50 AM Originally posted by mdwatts I hope it doesn't spring a leak. I know you're kinna joking, but I gave it a pretty good looking over before I put it on my machine and all the seams are on the outside and fastened down tight with a metal plate. The only way I could see it harming my hardware would be if someone actually went to the effort of taking off the side panel and busting the back of the water reservoir, it which case it would be just as easy to take a sledgehammer to the case. It's pretty neato. mdwatts 07-31-2003, 11:27 AM Could you put live piranha in so to keep unwanted guests from getting close to it? :D Zaren 08-01-2003, 07:26 AM Originally posted by mdwatts Could you put live piranha in so to keep unwanted guests from getting close to it? :D I wonder... I could make my system water cooled, and hook the resevior to the water lines. That way he could patrol the area, and I can have my box protected by a guardfish. Physical security... covered. bosox79 08-02-2003, 03:50 PM Originally posted by Zaren I wonder... I could make my system water cooled, and hook the resevior to the water lines.
