Grip doesn't output audio

Grip does detect the cdroms I put in, and everything works fine... and sound is enabled and working, but it doesn't output audio.... My distro is Mandrake 9.1, has this problem ever occured? Any way I can solve it?

I looked through the grip docs but the only thing I think of would be to check and make sure the channel on the sound mixer for the cd device did not get muted. And double check to make sure grip also has the scsi device set correctly.
