Hi,

I've just install Mozilla 1.4 on RH 9.

I manage to run it on first installation as a root. But when I logout and login again as root / user, my Linux still load old Mozilla 1.2.1

I've done installation on /usr/local/mozilla as recomended in documentation. I can run Mozilla 1.4 by accessing this directory.

What should I do to remove old Mozilla with new one?
1. Should I uninstall old mozilla first?
2. In which directory, should I install mozilla 1.4?

Thanks in advance.

This thread (http://justlinux.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=106734&highlight=mozilla+link) which I found with a JL forum search for 'redhat mozilla' should explain exactly what needs to be done.

You can really install the new version anywhere that you want. I have a directory I created named "files." Under files, I have multiple subdirectories for multimedia, work stuff, etc. Just create a new launcher on your desktop of choice and point it to the new version. Whether or not you decide to uninstall the old version is really up to you. I usually let the old version hang around for awhile, until I am satisfied with the new version. Make sure that you have all the plugins in your old version properly configured for the new one.
